It Takes a Village will be the recipient of the 128th defibrillator donation from the Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund.
The donation is also in celebration and memory of Nurse Matilda Ethel Green of Listowel. A nurse from the No. 7 Canadian General Hospital in France during WWI.
Andrea Charest from It Takes a Village says the donation will be key to have.
“To have a defibrillator in the core and have it accessible in case of emergencies, it means a great to us here.” said Charest
Charest adding to also have it in memory of Matilda Ethel Green is a huge honour to empower a local hero.
“The plaque will be in The Village for other women and other people to see. That is just incredible inspiring to see.”
The dedication will take place this evening at 7pm over at It Takes a Village on 177 Main Street West in Listowel.
