It Takes a Village will kick off its “Kids Lunch Program” starting next week.
The program supports kids within the community in partnership with the Listowel Legion which provides kids with a free lunch bag running from Tuesday-Saturday all summer long.
Meals are provided in hopes to support kids who may have benefitted from the school nutrition programs during the school year with the program to extend into the summer for continued support.
Meals will be prepared at the Legion on Mondays with volunteers in need.
Donations are also being accepted for the program which includes bread, margarine, cheesestrings, drinks and large Ziploc bags.
