There is still hope to have a Community Access Market with Listowels It Takes a Village but it will not be at its usual spot this year.
Council first had to approve the location again at Livingstone Park to run the market every other Saturday from June-October but given some issues with construction around the area this summer, councilor Matt Duncan says its just not a good spot for this year.
“I just think with the Elma Street construction I think we should go back to It Takes a Village for a new location. I’m fully in support of what they’re doing but I just don’t think this is a good location especially this year.” said Duncan
Council approved to have staff work with It Takes a Village to find alternative locations locally including public or privately owned lands that can be made available for the market.
