In The Know is a mental health literacy program developed at the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph. It was created specifically to educate the agricultural community. With support from the Ontario Federation of Agriculture, several CMHA branches in rural and agricultural communities offer the training.
The program is a 4 hour mental health literacy workshop designed to fit with farmers and producers limited availability owing to rigid daily schedule, distills critical information and incorporates agricultural community culture.
It is aimed at farmers, producers and those people who have regular contact with them like family members, peers and allies in the ag industry such as veterinarians, breeders, seed or feed salespeople, financial institutions, accountants or community members.
