Impaired driver arrested in Fergus

Police were responding to a complaint of an impaired driver

On May 12th at approximately 10:15pm members of the Wellington County OPP responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver.

Police located and stopped the vehicle on Tower Street South at McQueen Boulevard in Fergus.

As a result a 39 year old female of Guelph has been charged with operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.

A 90 day driver’s license suspension and 7 day vehicle impoundment were initiated.

The accused is scheduled to appear in an Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on June 18th.

Police say if you suspect someone is driving while their ability to operate a motor vehicle is impaired, either by drug or alcohol, call 911 to report it.
