As of July 1st all long term care homes in Ontario will have an immunization policy in place which was announced Monday.
Across the province at least 89 percent of long term care staff have received at least one dose while 66 percent are fully vaccinated from COVID-19.
Staff who work in long term care who have chosen to opt out of being vaccinated will need to provide proof of medical exemption or take a program which addresses how COVID-19 vaccines work, safety on the vaccine, risks of going unvaccinated and benefits of the vaccine and side effects.
