Hydro Prices About to Increase

Prices could increase just under 2%

Off-peak, mid-peak and on-peak hasn’t really been something people have payed attention to during the pandemic, but that’s about to change.

The Ontario Energy Board announced new electricity prices for households and small businesses starting November 1st.

A residential customer who uses 700 KWH will see an increase of $2.24 or just under a 2% increase. An option will be given to customers of returning to a time of use pricing system or a tiered pricing system that will bill users at a lower rate of the first 1,000 Kilowatt hours and a rise after that.
