It was quite the storm on Canada Day which blew its way quickly in Midwestern Ontario but it brought down the power with it and many are still not back in service.
While there are multiple small pocket areas still without power, the biggest impact continues to be within the Blyth area.
An outage reported by Hydro One in the areas of Blyth and Belgrave affecting just under 1500 customers.
Damage has since been assessed by crews with an estimated restoration time of 1pm.
Hydro One says following a storm they prioritize restoration in a way which brings power back to the greatest number of customers in the shortest period of time.
Crews need to repair and rebuild main lines along with other key pieces of critical electricity infrastructure before repairs can be made to power lines that serve smaller numbers of customers.
