Huron Perth Public Health issues a release today that besides covering the statistics of the year in review for the Region and the effect of Covid-19 also outlined another case of a variant of concern.
The second case is presumptive and means that it probably is the variant of concern. The sample has been sent in for genomic sequencing which can take up to 2 weeks to complete.
They also outlined the importance for residents in the Region to follow personal and public health measures like limiting contacts, washing hands frequently, maintaining physical distance, staying home when sick, getting tested if you show symptoms, wearing a mask or face covering and avoiding non-essential if possible.
The outbreak at the Stratford Jail is over.
