Huron Perth Public Health has opened the appointment system for eligible groups for first dose vaccinations.
Those eligible to use the system at this time include:
- Staff and essential caregivers at longterm care and retirement homes and any residents of these settings that have not been vaccinated yet
- Alternate level of care patients in hospitals that have bene confirmed admission to long term care, retirement or congregate care homes for seniors
- Highest priority health care workers currently then followed by very high priority health care workers in accordance with the Provincial Guidance
- Residents and staff in other congregate care settings for seniors including assisted living facilities
- Adults over the age of 80
- Indigenous adults aged 55 and older
Those seeking vaccinations are asked to book themselves online or if you are a friend/caregiver they can help you book online. This is preferred over calling. The number to call is 1-833-753-2098. If you have an OHIP card have it ready.
Caregivers under 80 are not eligible for a vaccine at this time.
