Huron Perth Public Health expands vaccine eligibility

Criteria is in addition to all other factors determining eligibility

Huron Perth Public Health is expanding Covid-19 vaccine eligibility. As of Friday, March 26th the following groups will be able to make appointments for their first dose of vaccine:

  • Adults aged 70 and older (born in 1951 or earlier)
  • Indigenous persons 16 years of age or older
  • Faith leaders who, as part of their regular role are at increased risk of exposure to Covid-19 through close contact with persons and families in the following circumstances:
    • End of life care
    • Care of the deceased, funerals, bathing, or other ceremony wit direct contact with deceased persons
    • Home visits to unwell persons
    • Pastoral care in hospitals/LTCHs/RHs or other vulnerable setting

Vaccinations are only available to eligible groups. You can find the complete list of eligibility at www.hpph.ca/vaccine; do not attempt to book an appointment if you are not eligible.
