Huron Perth Public Health has declared the outbreak at Exeter Villa Retirement Home and Long-Term Care Home over as of January 24th.
The facility experienced a total of 50 confirmed cases.
There were 36 confirmed in Long-Term Care residents and 11 in staff. On the retirement side there was 1 confirmed case in a resident and 2 in staff.
The facility lost 3 residents due to the outbreak.
Exeter Villa worked closely with many community partners who provided support and assistance, including the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance, South Huron Hospital Association, the South West Local Health Integration Network, Huron County Parametics and Ontario Health.
Residents and staff at the home have been given Covid-19 vaccines. The facility will continue to uphold stringent health measures, as per HPPH, as well as actively monitor staff through weekly prevalence testing.
