Huron Perth Public Health accelerating Second Covid-19 Doses

Revising vaccine schedule following provincial directives

Huron Perth Public Health announced that in keeping with provincial direction they will be accelerating second doses of Covid-19 administered in the Region.

The current interval between first and second doses can be up to 16 weeks, HPPH will now begin to offer second doses at an earlier interval of 4 weeks or later based on vaccine supply.

The change is effective today. Those individuals 80 and above are able to book a shortened interval second dose appointment for a future clinic. Many residents who are 80 and above already qualify for their extended interval and have booked appointments. Residents in that rage who have not booked their second dose can visit the HPPH booking website. Clinics are currently booking for mid to late June.

During the week of June 14th those residents 70 and above will be able to book an appointment at a future clinic. HPPH cannot book shortened dose interval appointments for 70 and uver until at least that date.
