Huron Perth offers services to help those facing addiction issues

HPPH offers services such as safe needle exchange and needle drop off locations

 

Huron Perth Public Health offers a complement of services for those in the Community who are facing addiction issues.

They provide new, sterile equipment to promote safer injection and inhalation of drugs. Nurses are available to speak with clients in an open, non-judgemental way.

Supplies such as:

  • needles and syringes
  • cookers, filters, meth pipes and crack kits
  • alcohol swabs and tourniquets
  • vitamin c and sterile water
  • naloxone

The items are available at one of the needle exchange locations below. You do not need an appointment.

HPPH also offers needle drop off locations for people who just need to dispose of their sharps containers, needles, syringes and harm reduction items in a safe location. Once location in Perth County is behind the Huron Perth Centre at 570 Main Street West in Listowel. The boxes are bright yellow in colour and clearly labelled. They are available 24 hours a day.
