Huron Perth adds 8, Wellington County adds 4 and Ontario 945 cases of Covid-19

Province is reportedly under reporting cases due to transition to new tracking platform

Huron Perth Public Health updated their case numbers today adding 8. Huron added 1 in

Huron Perth Public Health added 8 new cases today in the Region. Huron added 1 in Bluewater, Huron East and South Huron. Perth added 3 in Stratford, 1 in North Perth and St. Marys. There was 1 additional death of a Long Term Care resident. The total deaths is now 47. There are 42 active cases. There has been the first outbreak declared at a daycare site at Willow Early Learning Childcare Centre in Exeter.

Second doses continue for Long-term Care and Retirement Homes in Huron Perth. They expect to complete the first phase of vaccinations by February 18th.

The Vaccination Distribution plan has outlined that the Health Unit will bring vaccines to people through mass vaccination clinics, mobile clinics and multiple sites at partners. Hub locations are proposed in Wingham, Clinton, Goderich, Exeter, Listowel, Stratford, St. Marys, Milverton and Mitchell.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health added 4 cases today. There was 1 resident still in hospital in the area. 25 cases are active in Wellington County.

Ontario as a Province added 945 cases today. This on 1344 resolved cases and unfortunately 18 more people who passed away due to Covid-19 contributing factors. Toronto is thought to be underreporting their cases due to their transition to a new reporting platform.
