Over 30 people attended virtually to the Huron-Perth Agricultural Science Centre Annual General Meeting on March 29th.

Board members are looking to continue the work to build Canada’s first agricultural science in North Perth.

The group mission is to inspire youth and adults alike to learn more about the future of agriculture and food with interactive experiences and programs.

Jillian Lewis, Chair of the AG Science Centre Board of Directors says one thing they’re considering for the centre is to start small and work their way up for expansion.

“It could be we start with one building and something we can expand onto instead of building the whole thing all at once. We’re going to look at those options.” said Lewis.

The next steps for the board members will be to have a business plan done and budget based on that plan.

Beginning work on the building on a physical space is something the board is looking at a few years down the road.
