Huron Perth adds no cases and Wellington County adds 5

Huron Perth Public Health reported no new cases today. There are currently 11 cases active. As of March 23rd they have administered 13,595 vaccine doses.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health reported 5 new cases of Covid-19 in Wellington County. This on 2 recoveries and active cases there sitting at 25.

Anyone who has received a first or second dose must still observe public health measures. This is because experts are still learning about the protection provided by Covid-19 vaccines. Vaccination status does not exempt Canadians from observing health measures.

Dr. Miriam Klassen, Medical Officer of Health for Huron Perth reminds people that Easter is recommended to just be celebrated with members of your own household. Any gatherings with people outside must be socially distanced, all must wear a mask, food or drink must not be shared and washed your hands thoroughly.

Ontario reported a large spike in cases today reporting 2380 new cases. They blamed the higher than normal case count on housekeeping of the data. There were 17 more deaths in the Province with Covid contributing causes.
