A Huron County man is facing a number of charges following an occurrence that took place last week in Clinton.
On Thursday December 10th, just before 8pm, officers responded to a call for assistance on Victoria Street in Clinton.
Upon arriving police learned there was a confrontation on the street between the accused and a group of 5 people.
The accused yelled threats towards the group and ran across the street where he assaulted some members with a knife.
One of the victims sustained significant, but not life threatening injuries.
The two other sustained minor injuries.
The accused fled the scene however later that night was taken into custody by Huron OPP without incident.
The accused is facing 2 counts of spousal assault, 5 counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, aggravated assault, 2 counts of assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The accused remains in custody with a court appearance today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich.
