Huron County OPP have charged a South Huron resident with Theft and Mischief after they were caught stealing copper from a business in Centralia.
Police received a call at 3am on November 8th of a suspect at a business located on Canada Avenue stealing copper shavings.
Police arrived and caught the suspect with a value of the stolen shavings around $800. The accused was arrested without incident.
Police learned the day before they had damaged property and stolen scrap metal.
As a result a 42 year old South Huron resident was charged with Theft Under $5000 and two counts of Mischief Under $5000. The accused will appear in Goderich court on December 20th.
