Huron County OPP graciously accepted a very generous donation last week for Special Olympics Ontario.

Huron County OPP Sergeant Russ Nesbitt, who is the coordinator for the Huron OPP Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, accepted a $1,000 cheque from Dave Corrie from Corrie’s Foodland in Clinton.

Corrie’s Foodland is a longstanding supporter of Special Olympics Ontario by donating cash, food items and hosting fundraising bbq’s.

The support helps local Special Olympians competing in 18 different sports including dance, pickleball, kayaking, badminton, skating, bowling, curling, golf, swimming and volleyball.

The Torch Run is taking place virtually this year and there are still opportunities to donate and support. Raffle tickets and torch run t-shirts can be found online at www1.torchrunontario.com
