Huron-Kinloss has partnered up with Food Cycle Science, a Canadian company to allow residents to take part in the FoodCycler Pilot Project.

The goal is for residents to take part in the home food waste diversion project and reduce the amount of organic waste heading to the landfill.

130 FoodCycler units are available at a subsidized rate for residents.

The project will last 12 weeks with those taking part expected to track the amount of food waste they have diverted to estimate the total impact of the program. Once finished, the FoodCycler is yours to keep.

Residents interested have until April 2nd to register.

More information is available from the Huron-Kinloss website.
