Huron County council will be requesting a delegation with the Minister of Health in regards to public health funding.
Huron will be working with its partners in Perth County, Stratford and St Marys to voice their concerns on the topic which comes after a funding shortfall has hit Huron Perth Public Health and forced them to make layoffs.
Concerns were raised by councilor Bernie MacLellan who is a member of the Huron-Perth Board of Health says this could start a steep slope.
Council has directed staff to work with its counterparts to begin the process of a delegation request.
