Huron County OPP investigating 2 Separate Thefts

Thieves stole utility trailer, vehicle and various other items

Huron County OPP officers are seeking tips from the public after 2 separate thefts were reporting in Zurich and Central Huron.

On August 23, 2021 officers received a report of a utility trailer that was taken from a drive shed located on Blind Line near Zurich. Investigators believe the trailer was stolen sometime last weekend. The stolen trailer is described as a white, 2017 Covered Wagon CW6 enclosed single axel utility trailer. The value is estimated to be $6,000.

The second theft occurred on August 25, 2021 between 7 am and 8pm during a break and enter. While on the property the thieves entered a shed and stole a silver, 2009 Nissan Rogue with tinted windows.

In addition, they entered the residence and stole several items. Some of items included an Anker portable charger, an Asus laptop, two silver Hero 3 Gopro cameras, one black Hero 3 Gopro camera and a dozen jars of homemade honey.

Investigators believe there may have been 3 suspects involved. Two males and a heavier set female.
