Huron County is giving praise to their Emergency Services Department and Paramedic Team.
The county recognizing the hard work and service delivered throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a release, the County says paramedics went to long-term care and retirement home to aid in outbreak support, COVID surveillance testing, and offer on-site vaccination clinics for residents and staff.
They add the team has worked quietly behind the scenes to help these facilities stay safe and healthy.
The release concludes to say that paramedics usually don’t provide this kind of direct support but were able to meet the challenges.
