Huron County council has made the choice to end the Heritage Fund and discontinue its use for recipients.
The topic was brought up in the councils last meeting of 2023 by Warden Glen McNeil with Paul Heffer being the one to present the motion.
Heffer says the funds could be put to a better use in the county. Central Huron Deputy Mayor Marg Anderson also agreed with the motion.
Discussion wrapped up quickly with council making the choice to discontinue the Huron Heritage Fund.
