SWIFT Continues Work for Better Broadband in Huron County

Expansion of better connection expected to run with service starting in 2022

 

Nearly 1850 homes and businesses across Huron County are getting closer to having more reliable internet access.

The governments of Canada and Ontario both invested up to $2.4 million to create more economic and educational opportunities in rural areas of Huron County.

The contracts were awarded by Southwestern Integrated Fibre Technology (SWIFT) to ten ISP’s including Tuckersmith Communcations, HuronTel and Wightman Telecom

The expansion of better connection is expected to be running with service starting in February of 2022.
