The Huron Chamber of Commerce has been recognized as one of the fastest growing Chamber in Canada with a membership of less than 500.
The recognition comes from a new research report from the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada.
Dubbed the Membership Trends Across the Chamber Network, the report highlights significant membership growth across Canada with the Huron Chamber’s membership jumping 27.3 per cent in 2024.
Colin Carmichael, Executive Director of the Huron Chamber of Commerce says some newer things they’ve done is partner with fellow chambers to support businesses over the course of the ongoing trade war.
“Three of the chambers in Huron County have come together to create a task force, the Huron Economic Response Task Force so that’s the Huron Chamber, South Huron Chamber and Bayfield Chamber. That task force is really just to pull together as many resources as we can into one spot” said Carmichael.
A webinar is being planned for business owners on how they can prepare their business for the coming months to deal with the trade war.
