Humans Remains Found in Wooded Area in Guelph-Eramosa

post-mortem exam to be conducted to determine cause of death

 

On April 21st just after 5:30pm Wellington County OPP received a report from a hiker who had found an individuals person property in a wooded area just off Wellington Road 30 in Guelph-Eramosa Township.

Officers on the scene conducted a ground search of the area and found what looked to be human remains.

The Ontario Forensic Pathology Services and Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario confirmed the remains were human.

A post-mortem exam will be conducted to identify the remains and determine cause of death.

Investigators believe this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.
