The Humane Society of Kitchener-Waterloo & Stratford Perth has received a $250,000 donation from local philanthropist Mike Schout.
The donation will directly support the Better Together Campaign, helping to build a new Community Outreach Centre to expand the services provided by the humane society.
In recognition of this investment the community room will be named in honour the Mike’s beloved dog as the Grace Mae Schout Outreach Room.
Humane Society CEO Victoria Baby says this gift represents true community spirit with the community rooms new name being a heartfelt tribute which reflects the powerful bond between people and their pets.
