Humane Society Looking for Dog Owner after He was Struck by Car

Surgery needed to amputate leg

The Stratford-Perth Humane Society is looking for the owner of a dog after it was hit by a car last week.

The dog was struck in Perth East as animal service officers attended to find the dog severely injured.

The dog was taken to the Emergency Vet Clinic in Cambridge where the team stabilized his injuries.

The dog, now named Jayce is under medical care of the humane society with a fractured back leg, fractured toes and other wounds as injuries to his back left leg are too severe to repair and will need to have the leg amputated.

The cost for the surgery is expected to exceed $7000 and are appealing to raise such funds.

Those who wish to donate can visit the humane society’s website.
