Kicking into the holiday season the Humane Society of Kitchener-Waterloo and Stratford-Perth have launched their Hope for the Holidays campaign to help raise critical funds for the people and pets who need it most.
Running until December 31st individuals are encouraged to donate, adopt or extend help to support both animals in care and those who use the humane societies services.
CEO Victoria Baby says the crucial services they offer include the boarding program, pet pantry and veterinary outreach program.
The humane society says they’ve been operating regularly in crisis mode this year with 223 animals in their care between both centres with over 100 pets on a waiting list needing help.
