Sunday was the last day for qualifying for Canada’s golfers who will represent their Country for golf at the upcoming Tokyo Olympics this summer.

Mackenzie Hughes secured the second spot with his finish at Sunday’s US Open.

Corey Conners will take the first spot as Canada’s top ranked golfer.

Hughes and Conners were college teammates at Kent State University.

Golf Canada still has to nominate the two golfers to the Canadian Olympic Committee but it is viewed as a formality.

The Summer Olympics in Tokyo are scheduled to take place July 23rd to August 8th.
