It’s a trip of nostalgia making a comeback next year.
Canadian department store Zellers is being resurrected by the Hudson’s Bay Company, a decade after the chain shutdown its locations.
The discount retail chain was acquired by Hudson’s Bay Company in 1978 before the doors were shut in 2013.
Zellers locations were then abandoned, most turning into Target Canada stores during its short stay in the country.
Zellers will return as an e-commerce website and expand within select Hudson’s Bay department stores in early 2023.
The company says Zellers will offer a digital first shopping journey which taps into the nostalgia of the brand.
