On June 24th just before 9pm, Huron County OPP responded to a residence on Perth Road 178 to investigate an unwanted, intoxicated person at the location.
When police arrived, they discovered the unwanted person had been driving prior to police arrive. Several signs of impairment were seen and as a result the driver was arrested and transported to the Listowel OPP detachment for breath tests.
A 46 year old from Howick township has been charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.
The accused will appear in Goderich court July 19th.
