Howick Fire Department Fire Chief Shawn Edwards confirmed details of the structure fire in Howick Township that occurred Wednesday evening.
Howick Fire, being assisted by Minto Fire and the Fire Department of North Huron responded to the scene on Wednesday, April 21st at approximately 8:30pm.
Upon arrival smoke and fire was discovered in a portion of a heavy timber construction building.
The forces used an aggressive fire attack but the fire had spread too far and then the forces established a defensive operation to protect surrounding buildings.
The fire was contained to the one building.
No injuries in livestock or people.
No damage estimate is available at this time.
The fire is not deemed suspicious.
