Housing sales dropped last month according to the Huron-Perth Association of Realtors.
The number of homes sold last month reached 182 units, this is sizeable decrease of 21.9 per cent from May 2023.
Homes sales also dropped below the five years average at 9.5 per cent for the month of May.
Over the first five months of the year, home sales have totaled 723 units, a minor gain of 1.1 per cent from the same time last year.
The benchmark price of a home was $574,000 with the average price of a home selling for $616,596 in May.
The number of new listings was up last month at 388 or a gain of 2.6 per cent from May 2023.
This marked the largest number of new listings added in the month in over a decade.
