As Huron and Perth County’s continue see an increase of measles cases, the Listowel-Wingham Hospitals Alliance is taking measures to keep patients and staff safe.

Patients, care partners and visitors will need to wear masks in patient care areas with visitors or are ill or been exposed to measles asked to not visit the hospital.

If you believe you have been exposed to measles or have measles and need care you’re asked to call ahead before coming to an emergency department.

The hospitals alliance says the hospital is not a testing center and if you’ve been exposed to measles or concerned you may have it to contact Huron Perth Public Health for next steps.
