The Palmerston Homecoming this past summer was a big success, so much so the committee has been able to give back locally.
The committee with the community celebrated 150 years in Palmerston in August with a goal to break even on what was spent and instead off the success of events and more, $29,000 in profit was made.
These funds were donated to the Palmerston Lions Club to be used towards revitalizing the sports pad in the park and ensure a lasting benefit for the community.
The committee says they couldn’t be prouder of what the community accomplished together.
