A total of 250 homes were sold during the month of August in the region according to data for the Huron-Perth Association of Realtors.
On a year to date basis, home sales have totaled 1662 over the first eight months of the year, up 16.8 per cent from the same period in 2020.
The benchmark price of a home was set at $539,100, a leap of 34.4% on a year over year basis.
The average price of a home sold again stayed below $600,000 at $598,948, a gain of 24.3 per cent when compared to August of last year.
There was a total of 251 listings last month, the largest number of new listings added in August in over 5 years.
