One of the highest profile criminal cases in Ontario is stirring up again.
Teen killer and serial rapist Paul Bernardo will have a parole hearing today. Bernardo is known for his crimes in the 1980’s and 90’s which include kidnapping, torture and the killing of Kristen French and Leslie Mahffy near St. Catharines in the Niagara region.
Bernardo has been eligible for parole for over 3 years but relatives of the victims say he should never be allowed out of prison.
He is currently serving a life sentence for first degree murder, kidnapping and aggravated assault among many other offenses.
He is serving his sentence at the Millhaven Institution.
