Here For Now Theatre Gets Permanent Home in Perth County

The Here For Now Theatre has gained a permanent home for the next 15 seasons in Perth County.

The award winning independent professional theatre company in Stratford will be renovating the historic Perth County Registry Office into a Micro Black Box Theatre space.

The building which was originally going to be demolished will now be saved and re-imagined.

The Here for Now Theatre specializes in one act plays, which just run for an hour to an hour and a half with no intermission.

Artistic Director Fiona Mongillo says even those who might not be too into theatre could be still be surprised on what they offer.

“A lot of our stories are brand new and have a real relevance to what is happening right now. So I would say someone who doesn’t really see a lot of theatre, come and check us out because you might find what we do really interesting and fun.” said Mongillo.

Renovations are being set with hopes to have the doors open in their new home by June 2025 but there is still a full season this year for the theatre.
