Health Unit looking for dog involved in biting incident in Stratford

Bicycle rider was bitten at Avondale Cemetery just off TJ Dolan Trail

Huron Perth Public Health are looking for a dog involved in a biting incident at Avondale Cemetery in Stratford. The incident took place on Tuesday, February 9th at approximately 11:30 off the TJ Dolan Trail.

The dog involved in the incident is described as a golden doodle or labradoodle, large in size and yellow in colour. It was accompanied by three females. The individual bitten was riding their bike through the cemetery.

HPPH is investigating this incident to check if the dog has up-to-date rabies shots. If the dog is not found, the person who was bitten may need to complete a series of rabies shots.

HPPH reminds people to always obtain the contact information of the owners of the animal involved in a biting incident.
