Harriston Agromart and The Grove Palmerston is looking for support from the community as they look to get enough votes to receive $20,000 to support the Youth Ambassador Program.
Agromart and The Grove were recent winners of $8000 for the program from WinField United’s Raise the Barn initiative.
The program is designed to support youth for mental and overall well being. Heidi Fry, a Sales Agronomist at Harriston Agromart says WinField, one of their suppliers has been a big supporter of each community and their local charities and programs.
“So they’ve been running it (Raise the Barn) for a few years now and they ask their retailers which is us to pair up with a charity in their community. We won regionally for $8000 and now we’re competing nationally for $20,000” said Fry.
Voting can be done once a day until the November 15th deadline and can be done from the Winfield United website.
