Hanover Police are investigating a case of fraud after a resident reported losing almost $3000.
Police Chief Christopher Knoll says a citizen got an unsolicited phone call from a man who convinced the victim to allow access to their computer and once access was gained almost $3000 was taken from their account from the fraudster.
Knoll says any phone call, email, text, knock at your door or any other form of contact from a person you aren’t expecting should be treated as suspicious.
