A 72 year old has been charged with attempted murder.
Hanover Police responded on Friday at around 10:15am to the 200 block of 9th street in Hanover for reports of a shooting outside the home.
Police investigation determined a dispute between family members resulted in a 72 year old man shooting someone in the head with a flare gun at close range.
The victim, a 55 year old Hanover man was taken to hospital but their injuries were not life threatening.
As a result, the 72 year old was arrested and given a charge of attempted murder.
The accused will appear in court later today.
