A gym owner in Arthur is defying the Province’s lockdown order despite already being fined for doing so.
On Monday about 20 people gathered outside Mitchell Hewison’s gym, Futuristic Fitness, in the gym defying the lockdown order closure and also the protest the widespread closures in general that are in effect until January 23rd.
The main message behind staying open with the gym is the fact that big box stores are deemed essential but not exercise and remaining healthy.
The owner opened the gym last February just prior to the beginning of the last lockdown. The gym is offering online coaching programs but also access to the gym via a key fob and a booked appointment.
