An education advocacy group is calling on the Ontario government to ensure COVID-19 vaccinations are on the list of mandated vaccines in order to attend school.
Executive Director of People for Education, Annie Kiddler wrote to Education Minister, Stephen Lecce with the request on Sunday.
Kiddler writing to Lecce it’s vital to require COVID-19 shots for eligible students as currently under 70 percent of those aged 12-17 are fully vaccinated.
Kiddler’s letter also suggesting COVID-19 be added to the list of diseases under the Immunization of School Pupils Act which covers things such as measles, polio and mumps.
