Ground has broken for a 1,150 square foot addition to the Harriston Lions Community Medical Centre.
The facility which currently houses a dental and chiropractor will expand to include two physicians, a reception area and nursing station as well as waiting, procedure and exam rooms.
The building was originally through the Harriston Lions Community Medical Centre Corporation in 1978 but since 2015 has been operated by the Minto Municipal Services Corporation.
The addition is expected to cost around $550,000 which has the backing from the Town of Minto.
