Grey Bruce OPP investigating Student Stabbing Incident in Flesherton

Police received call around 10:15 am of a student had been injured in a stabbing. Police responded and took 2 students into custody. The injured student was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

UPDATE: The two suspects arrested in Grey Highlands following an incident at a Flesherton Highschool yesterday morning have been charged.

Police were called to the scene around 10:15 am after reports of a student being stabbed and requiring medical attention.

They were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Wellington County OPP Constable Joshua Cunningham proves the update.

“The two students taken into custody have both been charged. A 15 year old student from Southgate Township has been charged with assault with a weapon. And a 16-year-old student from Grey Highlands Township was charged with attempting to obstruct justice. Both are scheduled to appear in youth court next month.”

Police commended the school’s staff & students for the calm manner in which they conducted themselves during the violent situation.


The Grey Bruce OPP are investigating an incident at a high school in Flesherton this morning.

Wellington County OPP Constable Joshua Cunningham explains the situation there.

“This morning at around 10:15 am OPP responded to an injured student call a Flesherton Secondary School. It was reported that a student had been injured in a stabbing. Police responded and took 2 students into custody. The injured student was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”

Investigators are still on-scene collecting evidence. School officials have reached out to parents.

The incident is considered isolated with no other reported injuries.

Police say parents with further concerns are asked to contact school officials.
