With six non fatal overdoses recently reported between July 31st and August 3rd, the Grey Bruce Health Unit has responded to these incidents.
The health unit has issued an overdose alert and advising all street drugs should be considered highly toxic and fatal.
Of the overdose reports, five were found unconscious and three were in respiratory arrest when found by first responders.
Two cases are believed to be fentanyl mixed with methamphetamine.
The health unit says the Good Samaritan Drug Overdose Act remains as a way to protect those from possession charges when 911 is called for an overdose.
